Golfing, finding new restaurants to try with my wife, and entertaining my daughter Charlotte (9 months old)

Tell us about your family and pets.
My wife Amanda and I live in Minnetonka with our daughter Charlotte and Bernese Mountain Dog Lincoln.

Why do you choose to be a member of the Minnesota Optometric Association?
I value all the hard work that has been done to propel our profession forward and want to do my part to ensure we continue to practice to our fullest capabilities.

What do you like best about the profession of optometry?
I love getting to know my patients and helping them improve their lives in meaningful ways, and I also enjoy the variety and problem-solving that a busy clinic brings!

Describe your favorite memory from your optometric career.
There are a few that come to mind that are difficult to rank, but they all involve being able to help my patients through difficult situations and knowing I was able to give them some hope or reassurance that things would turn out well.

What fun fact would you like to share about yourselves that your colleagues may not know about you?
My nerdy passion is reading and learning about lawn care, more than I would like to admit

I am currently involved in clinical trials for the treatment of glaucoma and have lectured and authored numerous articles on glaucoma and corneal disease.
