Before LASIK Surgery
Free LASIK Consultation
You will meet with one of our technicians, who will take multiple measurements of your eye to help determine if you are candidate for LASIK, PRK or Refractive/Clear Lens Exchange.
Customizing Your Treatment
Your provider will look at all of your tests and customize a treatment plan specifically for your eyes only. The provider will go your options with you to help you make the best decisions for your vision.
Preparing for Surgery
After your free evaluation, you will meet with one of the surgical counselors to schedule your procedure and answer any questions you may have.
Day Of Procedure
Before Surgery Begins
After arriving at the surgery location, we will walk through the steps of your procedure and you will be offered medicine to help you relax. At this time we’ll also discuss post-operative instructions, and you will be invited to ask any remaining questions.
During Surgery
Once inside the LASIK suite, things move quickly and efficiently. In fact, many patients are surprised when we tell them we’re finished – they often haven’t realized we had already completed their LASIK procedure.
Post-Procedure
Recovery
Recovery time is typically one to two days, though every person is unique and your healing experience will depend on the underlying health of your eye and the ease of your surgery.
What to Expect
Immediately after surgery, you may experience:
- Blurry or foggy vision
- Soreness and grittiness
- Swollen eyes
- Red spots on the whites of your eyes
These symptoms will improve and irritation will subside within a few days. Other symptoms will disappear within weeks after surgery.
