My cataract surgeries, 2 weeks apart, were so successful that I’m afraid no one would believe it! I haven’t been able to see well since grade school. I can remember taking an eye test at school in the eight grade and could not see the huge top letter! Unbelievable. Now, not only is everything bright – no sepia-wash effect – but I’m seeing 20/20 and passed my drivers license reward without any problem at all! It truly has been a miracle for me.

The laser cataract surgery was not uncomfortable, day after surgery my vision is excellent and I keep comparing eye to eye, the colors are 4-5 shades brighter. I did a Crossword puzzle right after my Laser Cataract Surgery. I would recommend the LENSAR Laser to my family and friends.
I had a Technis Multifocal lense put in my left eye, and when I woke up the next morning my vision became clearer, I could see instantly. I anticipated little discomfort, and none during the actually surgery. Dr. Folden was extremely reassuring while he walked me through my entire surgery.

Everything went great with my appointment to consult with Dr. Stephens about my cataracts. The appointment was scheduled for 10:30 a.m., and I was called in exactly on time. The service technician was very professional and was forthcoming with what he was doing. Dr. Stephens took his time with me, explaining the different tests he was doing on my eyes. So far, so good. Just waiting to schedule my cataract surgery.
I had cataract surgery back in March, with Dr Fields. He is an incredible doctor and have only positive feedback regarding him as a Doctor. Unfortunately my surgery resulted in a retina tear, followed by a gas bubble being inserted. A month later it tore again, and silicone gas and buckle placed in it. Dr Fields was very supportive in any questions regarding the healing process and the condition of my eye. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing eye surgery or any having any other issues with their eyes. Definitely 5 stars!⭐️

Dr Folden with TCEC was great to work with and very knowledgeable. I had cataract surgery first and a few months later an PRK enhancement. I am very grateful and happy to say that my vision has stabilized and I now can see very clearly even though I am still in the healing process from the PRK surgery. I was especially impressed that he remembered my brother from two years ago when he had cataract surgery. That personal touch means so much. Dr. Folden and his team were incredibly patient and supportive, answering all of my brother’s and my questions thoroughly. My brother has very high anxiety, and they helped him through the entire process with such care and understanding—it really made a difference. I go to Dr.Johnson and he just removed my cataracts and replaced them with the Clareon PanOptix lenses. I am so thrilled with the outcome of the surgery. My sight is so clear and everything looks amazingly beautiful, and I don't have to wear glasses. The surgery was very fast and I could see great after it. Give Dr. Johnson a call and a visit, and he will tell you all about it.
When I arrived, the reception desk was very attentive and friendly. Then the tech called me right away to come back, which he did a couple of procedures and then put me in another room which was quick. He was also nice and Accommodating. The doctor arrived within 3–5 minutes. She was very friendly explained to me what I needed to do after the cataract surgery. She explained thoroughly and was very happy to explain things that I did not know. Great bunch of people there.
Support staff, technicians, and Dr. Axelson could not be more friendly and helpful. Dr. Axelson was caring and thorough in her consultation and exam! She also guided me through the experience of having cataract surgery so I understood what the experience would be with little anxiety.
Great experience! Dr Shaffer was kind and took time to answer all my questions. I have had 2 botched cataract surgeries with a Dr in central MN. With limited options, we had much to talk about. The last surgeon left a suture in my eye (for the last 6 mo), it was removed and new glasses ordered. First part of a journey back from poor sight.

Dr. Nichols is an outstanding ophthalmologist. My cataract surgery went extremely well and I now no longer require glasses for near or far sight. Absolutely life changing for me since I have a very strong correction and have worn glasses since second grade. Recommend Dr. Nichols very highly.
Easy to obtain appointment. On time appointment. Tech (Wyatt) did preliminary work effectively. Doctor explained current conditions in both eyes and future course of action. Cataract consult scheduled after additional testing in mid January. Cataract consult resulted in scheduling surgeries for both eyes two weeks apart. Surgeries were successful resulting in 20/20 vision for distance; I will use cheaters for reading. I am extremely pleased with Dr. Johnson.😊
Dr. Schaefer performed cataract surgery on both eyes by replacing my lenses to correct my distance vision. Surgery went perfectly and results were exactly as Dr. Schaefer said. The pre- surgery consultation was very informative- and calming as Dr. Schafer thoroughly explained the reason for surgery, the surgical process and anticipated results and post- surgery care. On the days of surgery the staff provided excellent prep care and attention prior to and during surgery. Follow up visits with Dr. Schaefer confirmed my lenses and eyes are healing well.

I discovered that I have Glaucoma when I was examined for Cataract Surgery. The exam I received for Glaucoma was so painless and thorough , I knew I was receiving the best care one could receive. The surgery was done in a painless manner. Every exam that I have received since the surgery has also been in a very caring manner. I would recommend the doctors at Twin City Eye Consultants to anyone who needs eye care in a heartbeat. They have been excellent in their caring manner. I just completed cataract surgeries on both my right and left eyes, two weeks apart. The eye physician referred me to the surgeon who took care of everything smoothly. The process was seamless. My pre op visits helped remove my fears and build my confidence for the surgeries which were very successful. The two doctors who handled my case were very professional and respectful. Their system was well set up so that as a patient I was never confused or in doubt about what was going on or what came next. The surgeries were performed with minimal fuss and I was happy. My post op visits have been straightforward as the eyes were good and were healing as expected. I appreciate the work done for me by my doctors and I thank them for helping me see more clearly than ever.
I have been seeing Dr Schaefer for over 10 yews and have been very satisfied with the care I have received. I had cataract surgery about 3 years ago and the results were perfect. I would recommend Dr Schaefer to anyone looking for excellent optical care.
I went with my husband for his consultation for Cataract surgery. When DrWanding confirmed that he needed the surgery. He asked my husband if he had any questions & my husband asked what he needed to. I had previously had Cataract surgery about 10 years ago. My eyes seemed a little foggy so I asked the Doctor if you can repeat the surgery. He explained to me that it couldn’t be repeated but a lasik treatment might do the trick. He offered to look at my eyes & he confirmed that the lasik would do the trick. He explained what happens & told me he could do it right away. He had the techs complete the paperwork & in 2 minutes the problem was corrected & I walked out. My eyes are back to when I had cataract surgery! I will forever be grateful to Dr Wanding. I will always recommend this clinic. The whole staff is excellent from the check in to the check out & they reminded me of the good old customer service that is sadly missing in the world today!

After my cataract surgery, I have close to perfect vision (as opposed to being able to focus clearly without glasses at about 5 inches from my nose for over 6 decades). They are all wonderful people who work in the offices and I am very grateful I was still in their system after many years away because of changes in insurance due to a previous job. The entire process of preparing for future cataract surgery was very positive. This included. Barb, who did the scanning processes of my eyes, Brooke, who set up the dates and especially Dr. Folden, who explained in detail all the options and answered my questions and checked the scanning results. I felt they were very careful in all the details necessary to get the precise images needed to guide them in the eventual surgery. I came away feeling I had absolutely made the right choice of the doctor for my cataract surgery.

The Edina Eye staff are very helpful and the Doctors are terrific! I especially appreciate the expert eye surgeon specialist Dr. Jeffrey Stephens (one of, if not the best in the MSP metro area) who did an amazing job with my cataract surgery. My eyes had a degree of difficulty because of nystagmus (involuntary eye movements) as well as the extreme nearsightedness which I endured all my life. My 6 month exam confirmed complete success! Amazing results via the surgery are much appreciated!! I am now able to enjoy life and drive without my thick corrective lens eye glasses!

Dr. Wandling is a great, no-nonsense guy that I meshed well with. I saw him about cataracts removal and at at 36 years old, I'm not the "typical"cataracts patient. He gave me the facts and options, let me make the decision best for me, and had my first surgery this last Friday. Fast surgery, no issues, and am healing well. I have had many many years with Jeffrey J. Stephens, M.D.. He is the best ophthalmologist I've ever encountered. He has taken care of my cataracts, supervised my eyelid droop and I would recommend him to anyone with an issue involving one's eyes.
After my first appt every went smoothly and efficiently for 2 successful cataract surgeries. Dr Stephen was very thorough in his giving me options and preparing me for what to expect. The surgery center was great too! Highly recommend Edina Eye although some of the receptionists did not acknowledge my presence and I felt like they didn't care that I was next and waiting to be helped.
Dr. Stephens has been my eye doctor for many years. He did my cataract surgery as well. He is very professional as well as polite. I feel very comfortable seeing Dr. Stephens.
I was very pleased/reassured at this appointment with the thoroughness of the evaluation. I have been dealing with a serious health issue(not related to the eye) and I was worried the problems with my eyes were caused by my medications. After the evaluation/exam it was determined the problem was related to cataract surgery several years ago, a common occurrence and treatable in the office. Dr. Schaefer was very clear in all explaination. I had laser treatment for the capsules that had formed and that helped significantly. I saw the doctor again yesterday for blurriness and focus issues with me eyes. After a thorough exam he clarified these issues are related to an eye condition I have that effects in inside of my cornea. The cells become elongated and retain moisture and thus vision can be distorted. I have used special drops for years and will,continue to use them more frequently and he suggested I have a consult with a cornea specialist. I am very satisfied with his care. OOPS!!! I wrote this review over a year ago and somehow I did not post it. So now I am writing a review of my just recent visit. I had a corneal transplant in April by a cornea specialist and have been followed by that surgeon. I saw Dr. Schaefer for evaluation of my lens prescription and general progress in th eye/cornea. Once again he was very thorough and clear in his explanations. I am very pleased with his care and the communication between the two opthamologists caring for my eyes
Jeffrey J. Stephens, M.D. is the best ophthalmologist I've ever encountered. He has taken care of my cataracts, supervised my eyelid droop and is currently advising on an AMD like problem. Had my 1st Cataract surgery on my left eye this week with Dr. Folden and couldn't be more pleased with the outcome after only 2 days! He explained everything before hand and I felt very confident having him as my surgeon!!
My Mom who is 83 years old had Cataract Surgery done with Dr. Johnson. She is very happy now. Dr. Johnson provided an excellent eye care. Always professional and great attention to making the patient at ease. Great Doctor.
I needed cataract surgery but my surgeon, Dr. Marshall Everson, noted my eyes were dry and sent me to a dry eye specialist first. After some weeks of treatment, I was cleared for surgery. Unfortunately, during surgery for my left eye, things didn’t go exactly as planned and my desired lens couldn’t be used (I knew going in that there were no guarantees about use of a multifocal lens). I learned at my post-op visit the next day that I had a minor issue that would need to be addressed. Dr. Everson provided excellent care throughout and saw me multiple times before I went in for the next surgery. Surgery on my right eye and a repair for the left eye issue went very well! Not only was I eligible for a multifocal lens, my left eye issue was successfully resolved. Dr. Everson and all of the support nurses, techs, and staff, both at Edina Eye Physicians & Surgeons and at the surgical center, were professional and upbeat at all times without minimizing my concerns. I can’t recommend Dr. Everson enough—and all the professionals he works with every day (it’s a team effort and Dr. Everson’s team is excellent).
My wife and I, both had the surgery to remove cataract from both eyes done by dr Jeffrey Stephens. Dr Stephens made the procedure look very easy and quick by handling it efficiently and responsibly. We were well informed by the time any step was started. The laser guided operation of removing the lens and putting in a new one was breeze. Neither of us had slightest idea when it was being done while laying on the operating table. The post operation period also did not face any complications with the help being available from dr stephens and his staff and co-workers. Thank you dr Stephen’s forget making a complicated and risky task look easy.
All aspects, including the presence of cataracts, the process and procedures available to address the problem areas, and cost were carefully evaluated and explained. Questions were answered briefly and clearly.
My experiences at Edina Eye have been positive. The staff is professional and personable. I receive one on one care from the moment I get into the exam room. The staff explains what is being done and what is expected to happen. Dr. Stephens is a really thorough , concerned and knowledgeable eye doctor and surgeon. I have been satisfied after cataract surgery on both eyes and yearly check ups.
Dr.Folden was very careful to explain the options for my cataract surgery, also very knowledgeable and experienced. He seemed to genuinely care about giving me the best possible eyesight. I had LALs implanted and it's been a 5 month process with the light treatments, but it has been worth it. I am very happy with the results and no more glasses for me! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Folden.
I was having difficulty with my eye sight due to Cataract and Glaucoma. After eye surgeries on both eyes and continuous treatments getting completely recover. Now, I am driving and vision is cleared. Thanks to all medical staff for me to see again.

Dr. Nicholas did a great job on my cataract surgery. My case was difficult because I had RK surgery in 1994 and it made the vision correction more difficult to determine. My vision is still excellent 2 years later.
Dr. Schafer performed cataract surgery on both my eyes a few years ago. Every year at my annual exam I thank him again. It was an instant change...from everything being so dark to so bright! I could read and sew again. It was like a miracle. Ill never forget that moment and so glad I switched to a new eye doctor...the old one said there was no rush. he was wrong!
Prompt, courteous, friendly, professional. Thorough . I had cataract lens replacements on both eyes with the panoptic (don't need glasses for near OR far anymore) lenses. The whole deal was smooth and painless. Absolutely LOVE not wearing glasses anymore. It's been over 2 years and still no problems. Seeing better than 20/20.

Had both left and right cataracts replaced with an upgraded lens without anesthesia. No pain at all. Great results. Dr. Carter Nichols was awesome and answered my questions thoroughly. All staff were very professional. Would definitely recommend.
My cataract surgery went very well. The Doctor explained everything and all went as he described. They were very prompt when I had an appointment. There was no waiting and the people were nice and will to explain what they were doing. The best thing was that Dr. Shafer called after surgery to see how I was doing. Been a long time since I’ve had a doctor take the time to call to see how I was doing.
My husband and I have been coming here for many years. My husband underwent laser surgery for both his cataracts with Dr. Stephen. We are glad that we were able to get it down before it's too late and now he is seeing better than he did before we were married! I want to give a review about the great experience I had with Dr. Everson. I went for my yearly exam and he said my cataract implant was cloudy, that he could clear it up with laser treatment. I had to make an appointment to see him again for the laser treatment on my left eye to clear the cloudiness. I just had it done on Wednesday and I cannot believe how clear my eyesight is now since I had this done. I wish I could have the same procedure on my right eye, but it is not cloudy like my left eye. Who knew this would clear up my eyesight so beautifully. Dr. Everson is such a kind, caring and fabulous Doctor. Thank you Dr. Everson you are the best!

very professional, thorough, and thoughtful. I have never had a Dr. call me at home after a surgery to check up and find out how I am doing, but Dr. Schafer did, after cataract surgery. All eye care is available at Edina Eye, including eyelid lift surgery. Care is taken during this time of Covid, to ensure surfaces are disinfected and masks are worn.
I have seen Dr. Schaffer for over 10 years for treatment of issues related to a detached retina, cataracts and general eye checkups. First class doc, friendly, knowledgeable and always on time. I am blind in in one eye due to retinal issues and the other eye has limited vision due to a baseball injury. Lots of visits over the years. I will NEVER see another eye doc for these issues and checkups. Work with Schaffer and you work with the best

I had cataract and Lasix surgery. I’m so happy with the results. Been wearing coke bottle glasses since I was 3 years old. (Yes, 65 years). No longer require glasses for my distance vision. My new glasses are amazingly light.

I have had the first right eye cataract surgery and am healing very well and vision is clear. Colors are brighter and I have been comfortable almost immediately. I was a little sensitive to light at first, but even that has gone away. I can't wait to get the second eye done, Every member of the surgical team was kind, supportive and comforting. I had cataract surgery. Dr. Nichols was the one who performed the surgery. Everything was explained in a meeting before of what to expect. He explained the different options available to me. I chose to have the astigmatism corrected in my left eye. My right eye was fine. It has certainly been a major improvement overall in my sight. I would highly recommend Dr. Nichols to anyone considering cataract surgery.

I have been going for a very long time-I probably started when they first opened-I like the thorough eye exams and the professional atmosphere. From the from desk all the way to checking out. Almost my whole family goes, I highly recommend , I just got my cataracts done- top notch. I was -15 in one eye and -11 in the other. I am now 20/20. Amazing!

I feel like I was given a thorough and excellent eye exam by Dr. Everson and his technician today. Last year Dr. Everson very successfully performed cataract surgery on both my eyes and with the implanting of PanOptix multifocals I no longer need glasses or contacts!!!
I took my elderly father to the Burnsville location to have his pre-surgery consult and for them to take my dad's cataract measurements. On top of fairly significant cataracts, my dad is hard of hearing and has moderately severe dementia and uses a walker post hip fracture- so appointments are difficult for him. We had the pleasure of working with Jayne,a wonderful technician. She worked with my dad 2 to 3 times longer than a normal appointment, constantly adjusting her approach with my dad as we tried to help him keep his head still and keep his eyes open wide enough for her to get the necessary measurements. She stayed calm and reassuring, never showing any frustration, thus keeping him calm. She took cues when guiding him through the measurements as well as the eye exam so that he didn't get confused. We never would have made it through the pre-surgery process so that he can have his cataracts addressed without her wonderful help. We are so thankful for her.

My wife's research on lasik eye correction led us to a great experience for our son 10 years ago w/ Dr Lobanoff & N Suburban. I went for an eye exam last year w/ Dr Lobanoff & he discovered cataract development.. He informed me that he could remove the cataracts & insert state of the art Pan Optic lenses at the same time that would save $ by doing both procedures at the same time & would give me 20/20 vision for distance & reading. I have had mono vision contact lenses for many years that "split the difference" for distance & reading. I am now am seeing 20/20 vision for distance & reading & no more contact lenses! The staff is organized, professional & friendly. Very happy!
The experience, from the time I entered the business was polite, courteous and patient. It was my first time here. The staff that prep before I saw Dr Yeung were patient with me, they didn't push me. Having moved here not long ago, having to meet new Drs and staff has been difficult. I can't say how wonderful it is to have Health Partners and having North Suburban is wonderful. When I met Dr Yeung, she immediately knew I was apprehensive. With patience and caring did the eye exam. After, she told me I needed cataract surgery. I cannot say enough about the staff and Dr Yeung. They are great and I have told many people that when they need to see an opthalmologist, to definitely go here. Go and I believe you'll be impressed with them also.
I am starting my journey for a cataract surgery under the guidance of Dr. David Folden, MD. I am very impressed with the check in process and the pre-op testing that I went through prior to my surgery come December. Dr. Folden answered all my questions and helped me make my decision as to which type of surgery would be best for me. After I have gotten all the facts, the decision was mine and I am comfortable with it after getting all the facts.

Dr O’Neill patiently explained the cataract surgery, what to expect during and after surgery and took the time to follow up when I had a question. His surgical skill (for me) was excellent and I highly recommend him.

Mark is devoted to making sure his patients fully understand every step of the procedure, also I needed extra attention and care due to the complexity and difficulty and challenges that my particular eyes demanded. Mark has helped me so much every step of the way, he makes sure you get the level of care that every patient could ever ask for. Not to also mention one of my family members had cataract surgery with Mark, and received the same level of care with that procedure as well.
